Logan doing very well

Logan has be resting at home and doing very well. Tuesday Tabitha let him go to the school to drop off Noah and pickup his homework. He was able to see all his classmates and his teacher
which he enjoyed. The homework was good for him it gave him something to do.
He has told us that he can not hear out of his left ear. Tabitha called the doctor and they say it is normal. The doctor will check it when he gos back for his appointment but he feels it should come back before then. We have been very blessed with the out come of this accadent and we know it is due to all the prayers. Thank you for keeping Logan in your thoughts and prayers.

Saturday was a good day. Logan is working very hard so he can go home. He is setting up for longer periods. He is still unsteady on his feet but is willing to get up and try to walk short stints.
He still does not have an appetite but he has taken in more nourishment today than yesterday.

Sunday the day we have been waiting for Logan is being released.
The day started early he awoke and was ready to get to work. He ask to walk to the game room
so with help he walked down to the game room where we played a game and let him rest. Then he was ready to walk back to his room for breakfast which he was able to eat a little more than he had been. The doctors came in and were pleased with how well he could walk from his bed to the door by his self. So the recovery at home begins and Tabitha has good help Noah is very happy to have his big brother home. He is helping take care of Logan what ever Logan wants Noah is ready to run and get it. We hope he will be able to return to school soon Logan does not like to miss school but we will know more on that when Tabitha talks to the doctors tomorrow.

Logan's accident

On 1/4/10 Logan was in a sledding accident. He was trasported to St. Clare Hospital in Critical Condition. It was determined that Logan had a Close Head injury. The CT scan showed that there was a fracture to his skull with swelling and bleeding. It was then decided that he needed to be lifeline to Methodist Hospital where he could better be treated for his injury. Once arriving at Methodist another CT scan was done that showed the bleeding had stopped. The second CT scan also showed a second fractures. One to the right front of his skull and the other on the left back of his skull. The Doctor placed Logan in the pediatirc ICU ward to be monitored and another CT scan was order for early the next morning to check for changes overnight. This scan showed that the bleed had not started back up and the swelling had decreased. The doctors feel that the fractures will heal on there own and the body will absorb the bleeding. It has been small steps but each step is leading to a full recovery.

On Wednesday he was able to be taken off the beathing tube and all sedation meds. He was able to drink water.

Thrusday was a very good day he was taken out of ICU and he is now in the pediatrics ward. He has started to eat and was able to get out of bed. The doctors were able to check his neck out better now that he is off the meds and the neck brace was taken off. Logan is still very weak and has many more small steps ahead but he will get there. The doctors are talking like he will be released in the next few days. They would like to see him eating and keeping the food down.

Friday did not go as well as we would like Logan is not wanting to eat. He was up playing games
his headace are being controled with meds but he still has a upset stomach. The doctor would like to see him up more but he is very light headed and he is not wanting to get up.

The family can not thank all of you enought for all the prayers sent his way. They were heard as his recovery is going very well. We will be updating with every mile stone of Logan's recovery and your continue prayers wil be greatly appreciated.
